The definition of competency refers to an employee’s measurable attributes that enhance their performance.

The knowledge, abilities, skills, and personal characteristics of everyone are included.

Main Types of Competencies

Leadership Competencies

Leadership Competencies refers to a measurable expression of the qualities that make a good leader.

Functional

Functioning competencies also refer to skills or technical tasks that the employee can effectively perform.

Behavioural

The behaviour a person excels at, often affecting others, is a behavioural competency. For example, remaining calm under pressure is a behavioural competency.
